Dear Sir,

I am a student and would like to know how induction and socialization are carried out in various Japanese companies. How much importance do they give to induction and how is the induction of managers being carried out?

Thanking you,
Akriti

Induction and socialization are not the same. Orientation or induction is an important part of the process of socialization of a new organizational member or employee.

Socialization is a process of adaptation by which employees are able to understand the basic values, norms, and customs for becoming the accepted members of the organization and assuming organizational roles.
