After the amendment in ESI (Central) Rules, 1950 relating to the enhancement of Maternity Benefit, ESIC has issued instructions on the above subject via their circular dated 06/02/2017. Sir, the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, being the appropriate authority, has now enforced the provisions of the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017. With the exception of "work from home," amendments have been enforced with effect from 01/04/2017. Regarding "work from home," the amendment has been enforced from 01/07/2017.
