Overpaid Salary and Tax Dilemma: Should I Pay Tax on Money I Must Return?


Company paid excess salary and while recovery of the same they want me to pay tax. Your advice on this please?

If the excess deduction was in previous FY, then you should get refund after the Return filing only.
