Dear P.P.,
Please refer to your State's Factories Rules. All State Factories Rules prescribe the number of toilets and other amenities for the workers (employees).
I feel the members should take the trouble to consult relevant statutes before posting the question.

Utility Blocks in Factory Layout
When submitting the factory plant layout for approval, it is important to show the number of workers and, accordingly, the number of utility blocks in the drawings. It is advisable to insist on a higher number of utility blocks rather than just providing the minimum. This ensures that the blocks can accommodate any substantial rise in the workforce in the future.
When calculating the number of utility blocks, consider all workers, including staff and contract workers, for any one shift or relay. The maximum workforce in any one shift will be the deciding factor.

(Fact Checked)-The user's reply is correct. It accurately refers to Section 19 of The Factories Act, 1948, which mandates provisions for latrines and urinals based on the number of male and female workers. The mention of checking the state government's rules for specific requirements is also appropriate. (1 Acknowledge point)
