I want to know that for the state of Maharashtra, for the purpose of standing orders, will we follow the Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act 1946 or Maharashtra Industrial Employment Standing Order Rules 1959 and Bombay Industrial Relations Act 1946.

I also tried to get the Maharashtra standing order rules but was unable to find them. Can anyone please provide the same?

The Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act, 1946, applies uniformly throughout India, and state rules are framed with particular reference to this Act. Regarding the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act, they hold specific importance concerning employer-employee relations in a workplace. When framing the Standing Orders for certification from the certifying authority, you must consider the provisions of both Acts: (1) The Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act, 1946, and (2) the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946, along with the rules contained in the Maharashtra Industrial Employment Standing Orders Rules, 1959.
