Recently, I joined another company. The previous company manager didn't take my resignation letter by hand. Hence, I sent the same through registered post to the branch, regional office, and corporate office as well. However, I didn't receive a resignation acceptance letter. If they are holding up or pending my PF amount for claiming or transferring to the newly joined company, what will be the procedure for me?

Hi Manjunatha,

You did a good job by sending your resignation through registered post. Any company does not have the right to stop your PF amount claim. You just need to approach your nearest PF office and explain your problem, or else you may send your PF withdrawal forms (10c, FORM 19, 15G, and 15H) through registered post, duly filled by you.

Regards,
Santhosh

Mr. Manjunatha,

Don't worry about your previous company's EPF amount. First of all, has your present company allotted your EPF number or not? If you have an EPF number, simply apply for EPF transfer online. By applying for online transfer, your previous company is required to transfer the amount within 10 days only.
