Answering the Common Interview Question

Usually, the interviewer asks the same question to start, "Tell me something about yourself." I would prefer to answer, "As you have my resume, you already have some brief details about me. I would like to share something that is not included in my resume." This approach can lead to a more positive start to the interview. It shows the interviewer that you are confident, eager to share more, and can make a good impression. Many people tend to follow a standard format, so by providing a unique response, the interviewer may perceive that you have crafted your resume yourself and have a deep understanding of its contents. I have noticed that sometimes candidates are not fully aware of the information provided in their own resumes.

It is essential to avoid being monotonous; your tone should not be flat. Stay energetic and convey confidence in each of your answers.

Best of luck for next time.
