Dear Friends,
Please let us know about this - If we are taking voluntary coverage under PF for a firm, then the number of employees working in the firm is not crucial (crucial in the sense that even if the number of employees is less than 20, voluntary coverage can be taken...).
Please give your inputs on this.

Dear Franidhar,
The PF states that it is compulsory that after 20 employees, you will have to avail the PF coverage. However, it is a welcome move if you want to register for the PF even before that number is reached.
Just note that if you start the PF deductions, then later on, even if your number of employees does not cross 20, you will have to continue the PF deduction and contribution.
