State Government Increases Minimum Wage Rates
The state government has further increased the minimum rates of wages for different categories of employees in respect of several scheduled employments on a provisional basis. Thus, the state government has enhanced the minimum rates of wages effective from September 1, 2014.
The increase in wages for monthly-rated employees is Rs. 200.00, for daily-rated employees is Rs. 7.69, and for hourly-rated employees is Rs. 0.96. The details of enhanced minimum rates of wages for monthly-rated, daily-rated, and hourly-rated employees are given in the attachment.
