Hello seniors, I have a query, kindly sort it out.
Issue with ESI Number and Contribution Transfer
We have an employee who had an old ESI number, and he left the job. After some time, when he rejoined our organization, he did not inform our personnel executive of his old number. Due to a misunderstanding, we created another TIC for him. When he visited the ESI local office for a photo, the ESI personnel informed him that he could not avail another ESI smart card because he had already taken a photo with the previous ESI number. Kindly contact your HR to promptly cancel this new ESI number and provide a written statement for the transfer of your 5-month contribution from the new ESI number to the previous one. Also, include your previous number effective from your new date of joining.
Subsequently, I completed all the paperwork for transferring the contributions from the new ESI number to the previous one and submitted it to the ESI local office. I also paid the 50 rupees fee for issuing the smart card on the old ESI number of the employee.
Question on Verifying Contribution Transfer
Regarding this matter, I have a question for you seniors: How can I check online if his new ESI number contributions have been transferred or not? I attempted to search the IP Portal for employee contribution history, but after 4 months, it is not displaying on the IP portal. I also contacted the ESI local office personnel, and they mentioned that they transferred his contribution to the old ESI number yesterday. However, when I checked today on the IP Portal employee contribution history, there was no record of it.
Can you suggest if there is any option on the online site through which I can verify whether the ESI personnel have transferred his contribution or not?
