Hi there, I have a problem regarding the PF Challan. We don't have a paid challan copy for the month of January 2012. We have received a letter from the PF office regarding the submission of the challan. However, at that time, I was not in the company, and nobody knows if this challan was paid or not. We have a visit book for PF Inspection. In the 7A's Inquiry, one PF inspector wrote that he has seen all records of challans from 2009 to 2012.
Now, the PF office is asking for the challan copy. Please guide me on what I have to do for this challan.
Thanks

Steps to Verify PF Challan Payment
First, check if it was paid by cheque or cash. If paid by bank, obtain a copy of the bank statement. Go to the bank where the challan was deposited and request them to issue a bank certificate. In the meantime, you can provide a copy of your bank statement to EPFO.
