Is There a Difference Between Leadership Function and Leader's Function?

The function of a leader is to motivate employees towards the achievement of organizational goals and provide good working conditions for them so that they can work effectively.

A leadership function indicates what function a leader shall undertake. Thus, the word 'leadership' gives quality to a function performed by a leader. For example, forming a vision and guiding people to realize it is the leadership function. The words 'A leader's function' indicate the responsibility of a leader. The function (responsibility) of a leader is to provide a vision to the people and guidance to realize it. In the former case, the word 'function' assumes a verb form (visualizing), and in the latter form, the word 'function' assumes the noun form (responsibility). However, this is purely my understanding.
