Dear All, i am an HR Professional and working in a leading Real Estate company in NCR. and my comapny is having the policy of complete 6 month nd ur entitled for increment.this case is this if an employee has joined on 1st october then is he entitled for increment or not ...if not y..please suggest what that person need to do in this regards.

Dear Sunil, What does you compensation policy guide? Is it not on Pro-rated basis ? When does your salary-review cycle ends ? Looking forward to hear from you

You query is not clear. However when there is a stipulation in a company's policy that an employee is eligible for an increment on completion of sx months, then the six months is to be computed from the date of joining. In the instant example, the said employee shall be eligible for an increment on 1st April of the following year unless the company's policy stipulates otherwise.
