I'm doing BCA and want to pursue post-graduation in Human Resource Management. I want to understand the difference between the 2-year and 1-year PGDHRM programs. Which option is more preferable? I'm from Mumbai. Please help. Thank you. I am planning to enroll in a 1-year course, but I am very confused. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of pursuing a PG diploma in HR, it would be better to opt for an MBA in HR. In a 2-year diploma or MBA program, most of the management modules will be covered, and the specialization will be in HR. However, under PDHRM, only the HR module will be covered.

Since you are in Mumbai, you can consider pursuing a 2-year MMS course offered by Mumbai University, conducted by reputed institutes like Jamnalal Bajaj or Sydenham, instead of opting for a 2-year PG diploma program. This choice is especially important in light of your future plans, if any, regarding pursuing a Ph.D. in management. I am not sure whether PG diploma programs will be considered for a Ph.D. Please inquire and make a decision, considering all possibilities and your future aspirations.
