Hi, can someone help me in making a motivation plan? It includes the activity, how it will help, and also the budget. If someone can help me in adding to the list, it will be useful. Also, if you can help me to list the motivational activities.

I think helping you to create a motivation plan is somewhat challenging. I should first understand the type of your organization and what prompted you to consider such a plan. Was there a high turnover? Do you feel that employees aren't working properly, or is there a lack of enthusiasm?

Anyways, here are some ideas that may help you:

1. Try to give rewards for the best performance.
2. Enhance communication between management and employees.
3. Suggest a plan for entertainment (summer resorts, open meetings...).
4. Develop channels through which employees can express their grievances; this may help them feel that justice is present.
5. Promotions and financial raises are very important as well.

I hope you find these ideas useful, and good luck.

Dear Colleagues,

Let me add my voice to the issue of the Motivation Plan. This would include, and as always, not be limited to the following:

- Superior delegation of assignments to subordinates
- Corporate empowerment of employees according to status
- Emphasizing quality work life in the workplace
- Sincerity and fairness in compensation administration
- A well-defined grievance/complaint channel
- Making the workplace a learning environment
- Managing human/professional diversity very well

The bottom line is management buying into these concepts of the Motivation Plan because it must give its consent for it to work and actually be a part of it all.

Thanks.

The list seems to be exhaustive now. However, I would just add that you should hold an "Open House" every month where employees are free to share their feedback and suggestions, to which you need to respond.

In addition to this, you can read a very good and easy book called "Fish! A Remarkable Way to Boost Morale and Improve Results" by Stephen C. Lundin, Harry Paul, and John Christensen. Many companies worldwide are implementing what is now known as the "Fish Philosophy." We even held a workshop based on it, and it does work.
