Thank you very much for providing me with great support. Currently, I am working in a manufacturing unit with about 300 contract workers and 15 contractors. We are about to launch a new project on a power plant, and as a result, some new contractors will be coming on board. I would like to inquire about the procedures for obtaining new licenses and the names of the required forms.

Thanks & Regards,
A. Mahesh

First, you need to understand the difference between a contract labor license (Form-VI) and a contract labor registration certificate (Form-II). As a principal employer, you need to obtain the Form-II contract labor registration certificate. For this, you need to submit the Contract Labor Act Form-I with triplicate copies to the registering and licensing officer or the assistant labor commissioner.

Once you have obtained Form-II, kindly share the same with your vendors who have more than 20 deployed workers, along with Form-V and the annexure. After issuing Form-V to the vendors, you can request them to obtain the contract labor license.

Please revert in case you need further clarification.

Thanks & regards,
Venkatesh. N
