Understanding Negative Recovery in Full and Final Settlement: HR Inquiry and Compensation - CiteHR

Hi, I left my job about 2 months ago and was awaiting my full and final settlement. I just received the PDF from the company, which states gross earnings of -17476 and net recovery of -17476. Now, I am perplexed about whether I will be receiving the amount of 17476 or if I have to pay the same as part of the FNF settlement.

I am confused because I need to sign and send the scanned copy of the document accepting it as soon as possible. Additionally, my friend, who joined and left the company during the same period and on the same date as my leaving date, received a compensation of around 13000 rupees from the employer. However, he completed the formalities in the workplace itself, whereas I was unavailable at that moment in the workplace, so they have now mailed it.

Thank you.

Why not call up the HR of your company and ask about the negative recovery as it's mentioned it is net recovery? Hence, only your company's HR would be able to provide you with justification.
