Dear Seniors, I have newly joined a company that has had over 50 employees for the last three years. Some of them are drawing a salary of less than 6500/-, and some are drawing a salary of 6500/- or more. Please advise me on how to overcome hurdles during registration.

You need to apply in the prescribed format along with data such as the balance sheet, company registration under company laws, directors' details, and employee details. However, my suggestion is to seek help from a PF consultant for this. There will definitely be backdated payments that the company may have to make.

Your company was liable to obtain a PF code and make the remittance of PF dues from the date your company had 20 or more employees, including contract laborers, regardless of their salary limit. Your company's liability for PF dues, along with interest and damages, begins from this date. The calculation will be based on various records, registers, balance sheets, books of accounts, account ledgers, etc.

Dear KR Mathur Ji,
Your company was liable to obtain a PF code and make the remittance of PF dues from the date your company had 20 or more employees, including contract laborers, irrespective of their salary limit. Your company's liability for PF dues, interest, and damages starts from this date. The same will be calculated based on various records, registers, balance sheets, books of accounts, account ledger, etc.
Thanks for the response and valuable advice. Actually, I wanted to avoid liabilities as I am able to restore the records due to a mix-up of data, whereas I have made all records available according to the balance sheet.
