There are a number of ways it can be done. About 30 years back, the word "ENVIRONMENT" was neither spoken nor understood in the same way it is being referred to nowadays. Here are some suggestions:
1. Arrange a talk on Global Warming to create awareness.
2. Stress the need to reduce water and electricity consumption.
3. Distribute botanical plant saplings. If there is no place, distribute them to schools or societies nearby.
4. Create awareness about Carbon Credit.
5. Emphasize the reduction in the use of plastics.
6. Get an expert to talk about RENEWABLE energy.

You must have found many ideas shared in this community. However, your firm and employees would have definite requirements and opportunities to serve the environment. Promoting green fingers with manageable gardens at home is the easiest way to get started. However, educating employees about programs for water conservation and recycling would serve a larger picture.
