Understanding Wages and Salary Structure in a Manufacturing Company: Insights and Recommendations - CiteHR

Dear Seniors,

I have some queries regarding the wages and salaries of workers and employees. We are a China-based manufacturing company in the Navi Mumbai area. According to the minimum wage act applicable in our region, we are paying our workers, e.g., helpers ₹5000/- per month. This is only the basic amount that we give them. For a welder, we provide ₹6000/-. Is this fair since we do not provide D.A.? Is D.A. compulsory? Currently, we have around 12 workers and 6 staff members. Due to workers switching jobs frequently, I discussed the salary issue with my manager, but no positive feedback was received. Now, my headquarters requires me to provide all the proper salary details applicable in our area. We are covered under the Factory Act, 1948.

Salary for Skilled Workers

What should be the salary for a Welder, Fitter, Bender, and Electrician with 2 to 3 years of experience?

Salary for Administrative Roles

For employees such as Account Managers, Purchase cum Admin, and HR, what should their pay scale be for freshers or experienced individuals? Please assist me with these questions at your earliest convenience.
