I need some clarification on PF. My father is an employee in a private company. He was appointed in the company at the age of 48 years, and now he is 64 years old. He is still continuing in the same company. As an employee, will he receive his benefits from the provident fund? Please guide me.

Thanks and regards,

Provident Fund Benefits for Senior Citizens

If he is a member of the Provident Fund (PF), he will receive withdrawal benefits. There is no special benefit for being a senior citizen. If he is a member of a pension fund for at least 10 years, he can receive a pension after the age of 58.

He can continue to be a member of the provident fund while he ceases to be a member of the pension fund after 58 years. However, he can still claim pension benefits while continuing his employment.
