Dear Friends,

Most of the cases that come to me involve students. The problem is a sudden drop in their academic performance or the development of bad habits or inappropriate behavior.

When I talk to these students, I don't find any issues with them, but rather with the parents and teachers who pressure them to excel. Consequently, they either lose interest in their studies or exhibit Active Aggressive Behavior (AAB) or Passive Aggressive Behavior (PAB).

Many students exhibit poor performance simply to retaliate against their parents. Recently, an X Std boy was referred to me after scoring just 3 marks in Chemistry. Upon speaking with the boy, I discovered that he aimed to punish the Chemistry Teacher who had wrongly accused him of misbehavior and confiscated his chemistry book. It took me 3 hours to convince the student that his reaction to the teacher's actions was unjust.

The emotional discord between parents and teachers, both consciously and unconsciously, and their resulting erratic behavior greatly impacts children, sometimes leading to a complete derailment of the students.

I am interested in hearing the reactions and responses from parents and teachers regarding this issue.

Very true, Mr. Ganesh. Probably the main reason for all this is the blind race of materialistic gains. Money is more powerful than the mind in today's scenario. Good teachers can only reverse this downfall trend. Hope more good teaching community will truly follow your message and work for the betterment in the future.
