"What Did I Learn Today" is a concept that helps me track every small and big learning that comes my way on a daily basis. Here's my effort to share what I learned this year. I trust it will help you reflect while mapping your growth in 2012.
1. Connecting and Serving Different Communities: I am grateful to have been able to connect with communities that had remained out of my bounds until last year. Moving beyond the boundaries of professionals I generally interact with helped me see how things work in other domains than mine.
2. Standing Up and Lending My Voice to a Social Cause: This wasn't any peace march or even a petition, but being there for people who required support to bring others along.
3. Working with a Few New Firms and Discovering Newer Processes and Systems: Nothing better than cross-organizational learning! Grateful for those teams who readily shared their processes, adding to my professional acumen.
4. Establishing a Brand While Working on In-Branding: This was an entirely new phase for me. I had never experienced how representations can be synchronized for branding. Very grateful to have been a part of such projects.
5. Documentations Beyond HR: This year, for the very first time, I was a part of documentations that were not HR or even OD. Quite a learning experience while working through them.
One thing that remained common this year was the fact that I would wake up every day to be of some help to someone I don't know or will never know! I remain immensely grateful for that.
Highs were, of course, being able to answer the posts that made a difference to the member who was looking for a solution, representing Cite Communities at XLRI and events of repute, receiving the MacBook :) and winning awards, including the Speaker's award from ESOL, Cambridge.
The launch of CiteSwarm is a long-term dream come true. I am super excited to meet our members on 5th Jan at CiteSwarm Pune. It's been quite a wait, but all worth it. Nothing better than meeting my co-learners and listening to their work.
My gratitude to all of you who contributed to my learning and success. Thank you for bringing me these opportunities and helping me make my efforts count!
Wishing you all a very happy year-end and a Happy New Year!
