I am working in a tea manufacturing company. As the first HR professional of the organization, I have been asked to design a performance appraisal system. Until now, increments have been decided solely based on the manager's discretion.

- The company has a staff of 100 employees.
- The average age of the employees is 45.
- The company has never implemented a performance appraisal system.
- Employees believe that a performance appraisal will not lead to any changes in their increments.

I seek your assistance in designing this system. Please share any appraisal systems used in your organizations that could be helpful.
