The Pygmalion Effect: Transformative Power of Teaching
The main message from the Pygmalion Effect is the efficacy of the teacher in getting what he wants from students, who are otherwise considered to be below par. Through his ability, teaching skills, and hard work, the teacher can transform a mediocre student into a brilliant one.
It is worth mentioning that based on G.B. Shaw's novel, the famous movie "My Fair Lady" was made. It ran to packed houses. In the film, a village beauty with no knowledge of manners and etiquette is transformed into a fine lady with pleasing manners by her teacher. I think an Indianized version of the same was also made later.

There is an excellent classic article on this subject published in Harvard Business Review called "Pygmalion in Management." This provides a good understanding of the concept and is a well-researched article, as most of the HBR articles are. Since this is copyrighted material, you cannot upload it. However, you can access the same article in HBR.
