Request for Guidance on Formulating Leave Policy

I am currently working in an IT software company where I need to revise the leave policy. As I am a fresher, kindly guide me to formulate a leave policy for an IT company. It should include PL, SL, and CL.

Please follow the specimen of any good organization, preferably an IT Company. You may find it online as well. In this connection, I have reviewed the specimen provided by Ms. Ranjana Chaturvedi. Her policy is more or less acceptable, except that it does not address Restricted Leave, Special Leave, Study Leave, and Compensatory Leave.

Additionally, in most organizations, Casual Leave is allowed for a minimum of 14 days, including 2 days of Restricted Leave. The policy should specify whether leave encashment is permitted, especially upon contract termination. It should also clarify whether intervening holidays will be considered when calculating leave.
