Hi,

I am a Software Engineer working in an MNC with over 3 years of experience. I have an M.Sc in computer science. Now, I want to pursue an M.B.A as a part-time or correspondence course. However, I am confused about a few points. It would be a great help if anybody could guide me on that.

1) Should I opt for a correspondence program or a part-time one?
2) In which area of M.B.A should I specialize to make a significant career advancement?
3) Which university should I choose? (I am a localite of Ghaziabad).
4) What direct benefits will I gain in my career after completing this?

Please assist me with the above-mentioned points.

Thanks,
Ruchi

Dear Ruchi,

1) I should go for correspondence or part-time MBA. The choice depends entirely on you. Opting for a regular MBA will enhance the value of the course, but you may miss out on the experience gained through pursuing an MBA via correspondence.

2) Which area of MBA should I choose to make a significant advancement in my career? This decision relies on your future plans and interests. Given your background in systems, it would be beneficial to focus on IT & Systems.

3) Which university should I consider? (I am a local resident of Ghaziabad). Please refer to the attached document for an overview of the courses offered by ICFAI.

4) What direct benefits can I expect in my career after completing this program? Assuming you have 5 years of experience upon MBA completion, it is likely to accelerate your career progression. You could secure a promotion in your current role or explore new opportunities with your MBA qualification.

Feel free to reach out for any further queries.
