After completing 10 years of service, an employee can either withdraw their pension amount or opt for a monthly pension. Whatever the choice, what is the procedure for claiming this benefit from the EPF? I mean, what paperwork should be done for this employee at present?

When an employee completes 10 years of service, they are unable to withdraw the full pension amount. Instead, they will receive a monthly pension. Only after crossing the age of 50 can they receive a reduced pension. To initiate this process, the employee must submit Form 10D along with a photocopy of their bank passbook. If the employee is currently under 50 years of age, they should submit Form 10C to receive a Scheme Certificate. This Scheme Certificate needs to be submitted along with Form 10D once the employee reaches the age of 50.
