Respected seniors, please let me know what the PF% should be deducted on arrear payment. In this case, should both the employer and the employee contribute to the same, or will it be contributed by the employer alone? Kindly reply.

Yes, you should deduct the EPF amount from the salary. The arrear salary should be calculated first, and only Basic + DA should be deducted on top of that. The deduction is the same for both sides.

If you encounter any issues, please call me, and I will provide further assistance.

Thank you & regards,

The employer and the employee shall pay contributions on arrears of salary, but only the employee's contribution is to be deducted from the arrears, not the employer's contribution.
