Hi HR experts, please let me know what is the maximum limit of VPF on the employee's side. However, the employer's PF limit will remain the same at 12%. Some say that there is no cap on employee VPF, and employees can contribute 100% of their basic wage. Others suggest that the employee VPF percentage can be 24% or even 36%.
We have an employee whose basic salary exceeds 6500. Previously, he was contributing 24%. Now, he wishes to contribute 100% of the PF basic wage ceiling. I strongly urge you to guide me on this matter. If there is any PF amendment notice regarding employee VPF, please provide it.
