What is the process to be followed to welcome a new joinee such that his joining experience is a pleasant one.

You can collect some details from the new joiner about their life, for example, any memorable experiences, work experience, birthdays, family background, etc. You can ask as many questions about his/her life that he/she would like to share, or you can prepare a set questionnaire. Then, get their photo scanned. Add all these details in a beautiful manner in your email along with their photo and send it out to your entire staff. This way, the whole company will get to know about their joining.
Additionally, during the induction, you may ask the new joiner to meet a few employees of the organization and chat with them for a few minutes, asking if they can spare 5-10 minutes. Upon returning, ask the new joiner about the questions they asked the existing employees. This way, they will overcome some shyness and gather information about the company in their own way.
