Hi all,
I am setting up a training department that will manage a complement of 630 staff. Could anyone with experience please share how you accomplished this? Additionally, I need help with:
1) Generic positions and organizational structure of the training department.
2) Generic job descriptions.
3) Process structure, etc.
Thanks,

Hi there,
To answer your question, please find below:
1. Generic positions and organizational structure of the training department. This depends on the workload and the organizational structure, but I would imagine that you need a Training & Development Manager and two Training Specialists or Administrators.
2. Generic job descriptions: I came across a job description for a Training & Development Manager. From that, you can break down a few functions and create a job description for your training administrator.
3. Process structure: As for your process structure, it depends on the human resources manual of your organization. Look at it, map your processes, and you will have a process structure in hand. If you need help with this, send me your HR Manual, and I can gladly assist you.
Good luck in setting up a training & development department for your organization.
