Hello,

I am a new member to this site, so please excuse me for any errors. If a new joiner is asked to fill in Form 11 despite the fact that there were PF deductions with his previous employer, what will this eventually result in? Is this a common practice?

I need some advice on this. Thank you.

see it an employee declare that, he never been a member of PF through form - 11 of EPF then there is no harm, but one thing to remember that his/her salary (basic+da) should be more than 6500/-

Now, it is mandatory to fill up both Form 2 (Nomination form) as well as Form 11.

In Form 11, if you declare that you have never been a member of EPF in the past, you have the option whether to join or to get exclusion from the scheme if your salary is above Rs. 6500/- (Basic + DA). On the other hand, if you declare that you are a member of the EPF scheme in the past and if your salary exceeds Rs. 6500/- at present, you have to continue the membership (you can't get exclusion).
