I have only 6 employees in a factory in Kolkata getting less than Rs 10,000/- as salary. Is there any way I can make my company registered with ESI, and my employees get the benefits of the ESI scheme.

You can hire casual laborers to increase your number of employees to ten. Once you have adequate coverage, you can discontinue employing these casual workers while still maintaining coverage. However, all casual laborers must also be included for coverage and contributions.

I think we can't go for ESI for 6 employees.

Dear Gopal Ji,
You have mentioned that you have 6 employees in your factory. Kindly clarify, is this the total strength of your factory? (Are there any clerks, Munshis, managers, or any other types of persons who work for you either full-time or part-time?) (Please do not consider their salary range.)
