Good morning.
Plant Safety Observation, Plant Safety Inspection, Safety Sampling, and Safety Survey are a few techniques for finding unsafe factors in an industry. However, these can be very confusing. How can we differentiate one technique from another? If some write-up is available, please let me know the link to it.
Best Regards.

Hi RT Raman,
What makes you confused, friend? Safety, nor any technique used in SMS, is not rocket science that causes confusion. What is your actual requirement? Let me know; I may be able to help you.
To identify unsafe factors, as of today, there are no modern techniques available to my knowledge. You must visually inspect the site to find out. Site rounds are essential for this purpose. You may refer to this by different names like inspection, audit, observation, etc.
