Dear All,

I have uploaded an introductory PowerPoint presentation on EVR Periyar, a revolutionary rationalist who was instrumental in eradicating various social evils in the southern part of this country. Being a staunch believer in humanitarian principles and equality, he fought against the unequal social system and questioned the myths of various superstitious practices.

I was unable to find more information about him on the internet; hence, I have created a new thread welcoming all like-minded individuals (opposing views are also welcome) to provide more insights about him. This is not an attempt to undermine any ideology or principle or offend anyone; it is simply an initiative to spread and share the message of this legendary leader.

Dear Balamurugan,

Nice posting. Even in Tamil Nadu, people are thinking that E.V. Ramasamy is a person against God, but he opposed the fakers and the fake practices by the name of God. He is not with us now, but a lot of followers are following his words.

Thank you very much for the wonderful presentation.

Siva Balamurugan,

I understand it is tough to put together Periyar in a few slides. He was the father of community drinking water distribution through taps. Since Harijans were not allowed to use the village well, he connected them with taps and took the water to them. A true revolutionary.

Good, keep it up. You have a mountain to climb.
