I wish you all a very Happy Raksha Bandhan!!!

Raksha Bandhan (the bond of protection in [Hindi and Panjabi](http://wikipedia.org)) is a Hindu and Sikh festival, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated on the [full moon](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_moon) of the month of [Shraavana](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shraavana). The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The elder brother, in return, offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her while an elder sister returns offers to her younger brother. The brother and sister traditionally feed each other [sweets](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithai). It is not necessary that the rakhi can be given only to a brother by birth; any male can be "adopted" as a brother by tying a rakhi on the person, that is "blood brothers and sisters," whether they are cousins or a good friend. Indian history is replete with women asking for protection, through rakhi, from men who were neither their brothers, nor Hindus themselves. In the 16th century, [Rani Karnavati](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rani_Karnavati) of [Chittor](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chittor) sent a rakhi to the [Mughal Emperor](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mughal_Emperor) [Humayun](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humayun) when she was threatened by [Bahadur Shah of Gujarat](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahadur_Shah_of_Gujarat). Humayun abandoned an ongoing military campaign to ride to her rescue.

The rakhi may also be tied on other special occasions to show solidarity and kinship (not necessarily only among brothers and sisters), as was done during the [Indian independence movement](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_independence_movement#Partition_of_Bengal).

I will miss you all on Raksha Bandhan day. I am not feeling well, I will be under medication so I may not come online that day.

The attached ppt is dedicated to all my sweet brothers here: Runnu, Bips, Manoj, Abhi, Shiva, Giri, Nilesh, and all the other brothers.

I do not have a brother of my own. God has gifted you all to me, as I always had a dream to have a handsome brother and girls must run behind them, and I must protect my brother. Now I found handsome brothers, I am happy.

May God shower his blessings on all of you with Good Health, Wealth, and Prosperity

No, how can it be possible, Nitya? As you have a huge list of bros, you must work as FIFS. Go through the thread. First, I requested for the share.
