If the injury is at his work spot, i.e., the injury occurred during the course of employment, then only the management is liable to pay compensation. This is applicable with respect to the employees covered under the ESI scheme as well. If the management is employee-oriented, you can cover all your employees under the Group Personal Accident Policy, wherein all employees are covered 24 x 7. Insurance companies like General, Oriental, or New India issue these policies.
On humanitarian grounds, if the management wishes to show support, then they can extend the support; otherwise, there is no liability.
