Dear All,

I am working with a Pvt. Company as HR. I am also pursuing my MBA through correspondence, but I have doubts about whether I should include this information on my CV. I have heard that mentioning ongoing courses may create a negative impression on the interviewer. I would appreciate your suggestions on this matter. Should I include it or not? Your valuable input can help me greatly!

Thanks in advance,

Preeti

Hi Preeti,

Personally, the information you have heard is not correct or valid at all. In fact, it shows that the person is keen on upgrading themselves. Distance learning is increasingly becoming a very viable option, particularly for people who, for various reasons—be it personal, professional, or financial—are unable to devote time and resources to a full-time program.

It is crucial that during the interview, you are thorough on the subjects you have covered thus far. I have seen individuals pursuing various courses who are not aware of the fundamentals, nor are they able to justify how it would add value to them or the organization.

Best Wishes,

Rajat Joshi
