Hi all,

Here, this is Payush. I am working in a newly established company registered under the Companies Act, 1956, with only 5 employees. With the aid of power, now my confusion is whether we should register our company under the Factory Act and what are the formalities regarding registration under the Factory Act, 1948, i.e., the form and format.

In your earlier response,

Payush

Dear Payush,

You have to register under the Factories Act if the total manpower (including contractors, casual, temporary) is 10 with the aid of power or 20 without power. So, in your case, there is no need to register under the Factories Act.
