Hi seniors. I am pursuing MBA in HR specialization. In our college, we have a daily discussion on general topics. One of the topics was "Why is the attrition rate in companies high?" 🤔 Is the HR Department responsible for this? I want to discuss this topic. 🙂

Sure, the HR is responsible! No doubt! Remember, management and its decisions can't be implemented until they get a nod from HR. HR can step in and object if they feel that it's going to lead to discomfort and dissatisfaction among the employees. Alas! HR today thinks they are born to hire and fire. NO! They are there to find, observe, groom, employ, and represent them (if necessary); HR is an advocate for the employees and not a prosecutor for the management. Attrition is a sure failure of the advocate (The HR)...

Jeet
