Hi all, Can anybody let me know as to how do i calculate attrition rate? and what are the measures which i need to take to control attrition in any organisation...

Hi,

There are many ways of calculating attrition. Usually, the following formula is used across the industry:

Number of employees relieved during the year / (Number of employees at the start of the year + Number of employees joined during that year)

Hi,

The formula provided by Shrithi is also used by many organizations. In addition to this formula, the following formula is also commonly used:

Attrition Rate = (No. of Employees Resigned / Avg. No. of Employees) * 100

Where:
Avg. No. of Employees = (Opening Balance + Closing Balance) / 2

You can calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual attrition rates using these formulas.
