I have a query for all HR leaders. Do we calculate the overall score for each KRA? I require details on how the overall score is calculated and the type of scale that is used.
For example:
1. Performance on each KRA will be rated on a scale of 1-5.
2. This rating will be multiplied by the corresponding weightage of the KRA to obtain an individual KRA score. For instance, if the weightage of surgical skill for a consultant surgeon is 60% and the rating is 3, the calculation would be 60 * 3/100.
3. The individual scores for each KRA will then be summed up to derive the KRA score.
However, I am facing difficulties in linking this to employee performance. I require guidance on the operational aspects of performance management such as the type of scale used, KRAs, and how to interpret them.
Kindly assist me with the above matters.
