Matirnity Leave - 180 Days?

Dear Sir,
Can you please confirm the Maternity leave period has been increased to 6 Months or 180 days. If yes, is it applicable for Pvt. Ltd. company also?
kindly provide copy of Gazette on the same subject.

Dear Gopi,
As per my knowledge this is still under discussion that if maternity leave can be provided for 6 months or not. some PSUs ahve started following this but till date it is not mandatory for any organization both in public and private sector.
