Hi, Member, Please share if PFable Wages (Basic + DA) are less than Rs. 15,000 (i.e., Rs. 12,000) due to absenteeism and the gross salary is Rs. 25,000, then how much PF will be deducted, and what will be the PFable wages?

On account of leave without pay, if the basic and DA portion on which the PF is contributed has come down to Rs 12,000, pay PF on that amount only. In the case of employees whose gross salary is more than Rs 15,000, say Rs 25,000, but PF contribution is limited to 12% of Rs 15,000, the LOP should be worked out on Rs 15,000.
