Dear All,
I had a question in mind that what should be checked during background investigation?
what best I can think is as follows:
1. Criminal background of the person
2. Cross Check with his previous employer about a persons behavior, salary and performance
3. Cross check with university / School about his degrees.
Please give me inputs on what else should be checked during the same......

In My view these are the following can be checked in the back ground verification.
During the back ground you can cover the following details.
1. Previous employer salary slips.
2. past employement Identity card.
3. His complete details regarding his past employements.
4. His Present and Permanant Address Details

Hi,
For background verification, i think the following details are sufficient:
1. Previous Employment Pay slip
2. His Reliving letter or Experience from the previous employer
Along with this you can call the previous employer and do checks for his period of work in that previous company, his conduct of performance during that tenure, about the details what he has provided at the time of interview, etc...

The following should be included in an employee background check:-
1. 10th-12th-Graduation marksheet & certificate.
2. Previous employment details - Appointment letter, relieving letter, salary slips, appraisal/promotion letters etc.
3. Personal & Professional Reference checks (Can be telephonic)
The following can be included:-
1. Health check
2. Criminal check
3. Drug testing

Dear All,
Please go thru the attachment, and there is reason mentioned in the same for why background check?
Criminal Background can be verified from the data available in police records but it is too lengthy process and same in case of Universities.
Maximum time a person produce the fake certificates, salary slips as well as fake references. In such cases it becomes very difficult to rely on such reference check.
