Hi friends,
This is Purnima. Recently i have joined as HR in a company. We are in software development & IT Staffing from past 10 years. Currently we have 60 employees for our Hyderabad branch. I am the one HR for this branch. I suggested some changes in their present policies. Management asking me to provide documentation about the exact policies & procedures that a company need to follow. It's like after getting register; what are the policies that a company need to adopt regarding the PF, ESI, Insurances & other policies which are mandatory to follow.
Please provide me your valuable suggestions & ideas by which i can get good stuff to suggest my management in following healthy policies.

Dear all,
As I already asked for your valuable suggestions regarding the HR policies & procedures of a company, till now i didn't get any response.
Please give me the information regarding the PF, ESI, Medical Insurance, Leave policy & other adoptable policies by a Pvt. Ltd company which is into Software development & US Staffing with a strength of 70+ now, but it's going to be 150+ in the next two months.
Provide me the data which is generally followed by the similar kind of companies; as i have given brief about my company. Support me with any attachments, by that i can get a better stuff. Because, i would like to take a chance to streamline the policies of my company to provide better services for the employees in the way to serve my company as a HR.
Hoping for your quick prominent response this time. Thanks in advance.

Dear Purnima

Please start one by one and finish the processes and streamline it, so that the functions will go on smoothly.

PF : Hope your company have already got registered for PF and got the PF Registration papers and PF Code No for your company. Start deduct 12% PF as Employees share and add 13.61% as employer share (8.33% EPS (Pension), 3.67% Employer share of PF, 1.1% PF Admin Charges, 0.5% EDLI Contribution, and 0.01% EDLI Admin Charges = 13.61%). For further details please visit your nearest PF Office and get the concerned formats and remit accordingly. (Even you can find these details from this site itself. But there may be little changes in your PF Office).

ESI : Hope you have registered and got the ESI Code No from the nearest ESI Office. Please deduct 1.75% from Employees and Add 4.75% and deposit the same with ESIC.

Medical Insurance : Once you are having registered with ESIC then you need not to bother about the Medical Insurance. But for those salary is above Rs.15000/- per month for them you must cover with Group Medical Insurance to cover the risk of Accidents/deaths.

Leave policy : Please refer your state's Shops and Commercial Establishment Act/Rules and follow the same and frame your company's leave policy accordingly.

Maintenance of Records : Please maintain all the records of all the individuals employed in your organisation (right from the application submitted by the individual to till their retirement/resignation, Leave application, Promotion, Annual Appraisal, transfer, and other relevant details which are deemed fit to be maintained in his personal records).

Please formulate Leave policy Promotion Policy, Performance Appraisal Policy, Transfer Policy, retirement/Superannuation Policy Resignation/Retrenchment policy, Discipline Policy, etc., as per your company's requirement.

Hope this will give you some guidelines. Further also you can seek guidance from this site, and surely you will get proper guidance from our learned members.

Wish you all the best.

Dear Boss,
Thanks for your inputs. In our company we are providing the PF, ESI as usual. But we will provide it for the employees who will come under 5k-15k (sal) only(both PF & ESI). upto my knowledge the salary limitation is only for ESI, but not for PF. So, please give a clarity regarding that.
