Dear Seniors,
We are a new company and we have little clarification on salary calculation for the month of July 2017.
We issued joining letter to join the company by July 1, 2017, without noticing that July 1 & 2 was Saturday and Sunday (leave for our company). At the last minute we realised this and called the candidates to join them on July 3, 2017 (Monday).
At the end of July we issued salary for 29 days (Annual Income/12 x 29 (total days calculated from joining) / 31 (total no. of days in a month.
Is it a correct way of calculating the salary? Because one of the guy is demanding to calculate the salary for the whole month since the joining letter mentions July 1, 2017, and he is losing 2 days salary.
Please advise whether my calculation is right?
Thank you in advance!
Warm Regards,
Sudhakaran
