Hi everyone. As a part of my project, I came across certain issues and challenges that are faced by HR Managers in organizations. My major focus is on HR Planning and Management. I interacted with a few HR Managers for the same, and some of the most common issues faced by them are:
1. Fulfilling all employees' expectations is very difficult because their opinions and satisfaction levels differ from each other.
2. Employees do not prefer a bell curve which may be required in some organizations.
3. Since business needs vary to a large extent, providing flexibility in work can be challenging.
I request you all to contribute your own ideas and opinions for the same. Thank You.

Apart from these challenges, I feel that incorporating the right style of leadership is another major challenge especially in planning and management. One needs to adopt a leadership style that is favourable to the entire workforce but at the same time is assertive enough to meet the targets of the organization.

Thank you so much Aneesh. I completely agree with your point. Having an appropriate leadership style is one of the major challenges of an HR Manager these days.

Hi Harshita. Glad to know that you are working on an issue that is of major concern these days. I agree with your first two points, but would like to add that if the working hours or the working conditions of employees are made inflexible, it will lead to an increase in employee absenteeism. This can have a detrimental impact on the overall productivity of the organization. Thus, the working conditions provided to the employees should be such that it can be easily adapted to and at the same time is in adherence to it's work culture.
