You may be referring Variable Dearness Allowance, which shall be arrived at on the basis of Consumer Price Index (Base year can be 1960 or 1982), To get updated list of Consumer Price Index numbers (all places), you need to write to the following Department and request them to add your company in their mailing list so that you can continue to receive their
circular as and when the CPI numbers are getting changed. (Earlier there was no subscription,amount to be paid to them for sending the information)
